Richard Atkinson is a former architect and businessman who brings his wealth of experience and skills to his roles within CHS. He is one of the founding members of CHS and was instrumental in the Cramerton Veteran’s Memorial as well as the completion and opening of the Cramerton Historical Museum. Richard is a former Cramerton Citizen of the Year and serves as an elected Town Commissioner for Cramerton. As such, he is highly active in the securing of grants and the coordination with MPO in the long-term planning of infrastructure and projects for the town as a whole. As the Director of the Museum, Mr. Atkinson plays a pivotal role in coordinating museum events and field trips, and even teaches the important module all about Schools and Education to fourth graders who visit!
